The patented SMART TABS are a unique trim and stabilization system that automatically adapts to the conditions, without the need for a costly electrical or hydraulic installation with control switches. SMART TABS have nitrogen-filled cylinders that push the trim plates down at low speeds and automatically push them up (horizontally) at higher speeds. The trim plates are continuously under pressure, so they actually function as a kind of shock absorbers and continuously automatically take the correct position depending on the circumstances, boat speed and balance. The result is a remarkable improvement in sailing characteristics.
