The fuel for your engine must be clean and pure for optimal performance.
Water, particles and dirt in the fuel can contaminate and/or damage various parts in the engine and this will cause engine failure.
Engine failure on the water can result in very dangerous situations for both you and other shipping traffic.
Not to mention engine failure at sea!
It is advisable to replace the filter element regularly according to the engine manufacturer's specifications.
The Sierra gasoline filter has a robust aluminum housing with a powder-coated exterior and an epoxy-coated interior.
The aluminum bracket is equipped with ¼" NPT thread for mounting the hose connectors in/out.
This filter meets all OEM specifications.
However, this filter does not separate oil from 2-stroke gasoline.
Best flow capacity of all outboard motor brands, max. 470 l/h.
Removes 98.8% of water emulsion.
This filter is recommended for all 2- and 4-stroke petrol engines.

This filter is not suitable for generation II 4.3 liter/4.3LX Mercruiser with electric fuel pump and in-line fuel filter (OEM#35-805031T).

Filter elements are available for this filter in 10 and 21 microns 64187845 and 64187945 as well as straight hose connectors (64188042 and 64188055)
